Sunday School

Sunday School Collection

Our Sunday School is for 5s to 16s and runs from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm every Sunday, except on special Sundays such as Easter, Harvest and the pre-Christmas Sunday, when Sunday School joins wit the main church at 11.00 am.

Sunday School is fully supervised. All class leaders are Church Members and have agreed to be bound by the policies of the church.

The aim of Sunday School is to give children a solid foundation in the Christian life.

People from all backgrounds are welcome at Sunday School — many children who come regularly don't otherwise go to church.

However, to protect all the children, and to make it possible for everyone to have an enjoyable time, we do expect reasonably good behaviour. We very rarely have to ask someone to stop coming, but there are occasions when this cannot be avoided.

Like the church, the Sunday School has been running for just on 100 years.

Our Sunday School superintendent is a local legend — he has been doing Sunday School for more than fifty years, and we have children in Sunday School now whose grandparents were taught by him.

As well as singing and learning about Jesus, the Sunday School children collect for relief and development work overseas.
